In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the Guardians travel throughout the cosmos as they help Peter Quill learn more about his mysterious parentage.

Rebel Unit were engaged by Framestore to explore conceptual effects for the opening sequence of the film amongst other effects. Never has there been more fun producing what was described as “quantum astroid fields”, “regurgitating cosmic matter” and “inter-dimensional rifts”. 

The film got nominated for Oscar 2018, Best Achievement in Visual Effects.
